Tomoka mirrors are mostly even but frustrating if you’re on the oki receiving end. She actually has no options to escape oki and has to block it all. In a mirror match, the first person to start oki essentially has the highest chance to become the winner.
Tomoka is able to effectively get in on the characters and immediately start oki. Once locked down they have very minimal options to escape the death trap. These characters will most likely have to risk and spend resources to overpower her and try to keep it up until she goes back in and starts it all over again.
With proper reading these characters can capitalize on Tomoka’s bad habits. Although she excels in the air against them with her j.C. They have options to get out of her oki setups which requires them to spend resources (most times). With this it balances out her dangerous oki against getting out of her said oki.
Tomoka has a rough time blocking these characters since her options to reversal are very minimal. She absolutely cannot let them gain momentum first or else she is stuck on defense for a long time. Shana, Yuuki and Kirito become a lot more threatening when in trump card mode which potentially leaves Tomoka to spend resources to get them off her.
These characters are capable of shutting down Tomoka’s attempts to use her specials in neutral with ease. With this, it makes it very hard for Tomoka to get in which doesn’t let her setplay. Their normals are capable of hitting her during her “blockstrings” so she has to be more cautious when using specials during this time.
