Task 6.1 Independent study (in groups)
Read chapters 20-23 “Traitor’s Gate”. Pay attention to the key characters, main themes, and ideas of the work. Form groups of 4-5 people. In each group, select the following roles:
Moderator: Facilitates the discussion.
Recorder: Takes notes on key points and conclusions.
Presenter: In charge of delivering the final project presentation.
Participants: Engage in discussion, share their views, and provide feedback.
Discuss the text. As you discuss, answer the following questions:
1. What central theme is explored in the text "Traitor’s Gate"?
2. Which historical figures or literary characters are referenced in the narrative, and how do they contribute to the storyline?
3. How do the perspectives of group members vary, and where do they find common ground?
4. What key conflicts arise in the text, and what resolutions are proposed
Based on your discussions, create a shared project that can be in the form of:
A presentation (PowerPoint or Google Slides)
A video or audio recording discussing the key points of the work and your perception of it
An infographic summarizing the main themes and ideas of the text, including precedent names
A creative assignment (e.g., a short story or a screenplay)
Prepare and present your work in an online session. Each group member should contribute to the discussion, expressing their opinions and ideas. Pay attention to the following aspects:
1. Clarity and consistency of presentation
2. Skills in maintaining discussion and time management
3. Mutual support and constructive criticism
Peer Evaluation
After the presentation, conduct a peer evaluation:
Each group member should evaluate the work of their colleagues on a number of criteria (e.g., level of engagement, quality of presentation, ability to collaborate)

Task 6.2 Сontinuous assessment (in groups)
Based on what you have read in "Traitor’s Gate," invent a new character and integrate him/her into the story. Write a scenario that details how this character enters the narrative and includes a dialogue between them and one of the existing main characters (350-400 words ).
Instructions:
1. Character Creation:
• Name your new character and provide a brief background. Consider their age, personality traits, motivations, and how they fit into the world of "Traitor’s Gate."
• Think about their relationship to the existing characters. Are they a friend, foe, or something in between?
2. Scenario Development:
• Write a scene where your character is introduced into the story. Describe the setting and context of their entrance.
• Explain how this new character interacts with one of the existing main characters. What is the purpose of their meeting? Is there tension, camaraderie, or conflict?
3. Dialogue Writing:
• Create a detailed dialogue between your new character and an existing main character. The dialogue should reflect their personalities and the dynamics of their relationship.
• Ensure that the conversation reveals important information about both characters and advances the plot.

Task 6.3 Сontinuous assessment (in groups)
Instructions:
1. Choose Your Characters:
• Select two characters from a book you have read. Consider their personalities, relationships, and roles in the story
2. Identify a Key Moment:
• Think of a pivotal moment in the book where a dialogue could change the course of events. This could be a moment of conflict, revelation, or decision-making
3. Write the Dialogue:
• Create a conversation between the two or more characters. Make sure the dialogue reflects their unique voices and perspectives
• The dialogue should be at least 300 words long
• Focus on how their conversation alters their decisions or actions, thereby influencing the plot
4. Contextualize Your Dialogue:
• At the beginning of your submission, provide a brief summary of the book (2-3 sentences) and explain the context of the dialogue you created
• Describe how this dialogue changes the characters' paths and the overall story
5. Review and Revise:
• After writing your dialogue, read it aloud to ensure it flows naturally
• Check for grammatical errors and make sure it aligns with the tone and style of the original book
6. Submit Your Work:
• Submit your dialogue along with the summary and context by the deadline provided
Evaluation Criteria:
• Relevance to the original text and characters
• Creativity and originality in dialogue
• Clarity and coherence of writing
• Depth of analysis regarding how the dialogue influences the plot
