Privacy

Privacy is the person's ability to take decisions for themselves on when, how and for what reasons their personal information can be handled by others. Privacy gives one freedom from public attention, and privacy is one of the basic human rights as everyone has a right to it. As social networking is now a common way of communication among both teenagers and the older generation, they have to make sure that they understand and know what they are posting and make sure that what they are posting does not invade other people's privacy and that they consider that right when they post.(Jain, Jain and Nayyar,2020)

As teachers and educational stakeholders use social media to communicate and conduct some of their lessons, it is important that they are both aware of posting and sharing images without invasion of privacy of others. Image sharing on social media platforms has become the most common activity on the media and this resulted in an increased rate of privacy invasion among many learners and teachers, and this action can reveal a lot of sensitive information, hence they have to consider people's privacy when they do that. (Liu,et al,2022). 

Learners and educational stakeholders have to be made aware of privacy invasion as it can be regarded as a criminal offence as it will be a human right violation. They have to practice good communication and make sure that what they share or post on social media does not go against the law, and that they ask before they post something about someone in order to avoid invading others privacy. They also have to make sure that people do not invade their privacy by making sure that their passwords are only known by them only, what they post are kept private and they change their social media settings. A good practice of privacy keeps scammers and hackers away, as they do not know much information about you as you are keeping everything about yourself private. And they should also make sure that their phone have security passwords, and the ones that one cannot think of. They should avoid setting date of births as their passwords as they are easy to guess, they must must not set obvious information as passwords as they are easy to be guessed.
