Ethics is the discipline that is concerned with knowing what is morally good and bad and morally wrong and right. Copyright is the protection of duplicating the writer's original work as your own or sharing it. Copyright is there to create and protect the dignity for the rightful owner of the information that is written or otherwise. (Formosa,2022)
Learners and stakeholders have to be aware of ethics and copyright, as these two work hand in hand, due to the fact that in order for one to be aware about copyright, that certain person must be knowing what is morally wrong or right. For one to respect and be aware of the copyright laws, which are laws that protect duplication of ones own work, they must have good ethics. To teach students and educational stake holders about the ethics and copyright, they can firstly be taught about the copyright laws and how they work, and the consequences that could be faced if these laws are skipped, this action is known as the copyright infrigement.
It is important that they know about these laws in order for them to ignore being sued and facing the law, as they can spend years in prison as a result of copyright infringement.
