Each year, the boxes are removed from the posts and the old sawdust replaced before the ducks return. The birds arrive in late March thru early April to choose their nesting locations.

Currently there are over a dozen wood duck nesting boxes along the river near the clubhouse.

This winter, the Ikes have rebuilt our wood duck houses and have made some new ones for new locations.

The chicks will return in the spring to nest again.

Screech Owls!!!

Some of the inhabitants, while not wood ducks, are equally welcome. No cleaning was done on this box! They managed that all by themselves. Apparently this box suits the owls just fine.
