Welcome Homeschool Parent!

The Des Moines Defenders program is offered to homeschool boys and girls that will be 10-18 years old for the 2026-27 school year.  This is a competitive basketball program that will be focused on teaching your child the fundamentals of playing basketball.

Registration will open on September 1.  Be sure to read the Parent Code of Conduct, Player Code of Conduct and Volunteer pages under the "Home Page" tab before registering.

Teams The Defenders program offers 10 and under teams, 12 and under teams, 14 and under teams, and 18 and under teams for both boys and girls.

Eligibility Participation in the Defenders program is limited to homeschool students only. Registration fees will be as follows:

12  and under: $150*

14 and under: $170*

18 and under: $200*

*Participation in the annual Free Throw Fundraiser will reduce your registration fee up to $50.

All open gyms will begin in May.  Schedule and location to be determined.
