Garima is a strategic designer and research currently pursuing a PhD in Cultural Sustainability from the Department of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
Garima has a master's degree in Strategic Design Management from NID Gandhinagar and a bachelor's degree in Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory Design from NIFT, New Delhi. Garima's academic journey has been multifaceted, exploring the paradigms of product design to service and systems.

In the heart of Delhi’s neighbourhood economies lies a form of design intelligence, tacit knowledge, and skill-based solutions that are often overlooked by formal training: "Repair-as-Design. By integrating ethnographic insights and co-making sessions into the design studio, we challenge students to prioritize longevity and maintainability over the new. The framework intends to reshape the classroom and provide a pedagogical foundation for the "Right to Repair" within India’s evolving National Design Policy.
