ICDHS14: Cultures of Design | 10-12 Oct 2025

Travelling through Barcelona, Havana, Istanbul, Guadalajara, Tallinn, Helsinki, Osaka, Brussels, São Paulo, Aveiro, Taipei, Zagreb, and Bogotá, ICDHS embraced remarkable geographical diversity during its first 25 years. These gatherings unearthed original research, emerging agendas, and significant developments within Design History and Design Studies, while fostering inclusivity by providing a platform for contributions from countries not traditionally dominant in these fields.

ICDHS 14, Cultures of Design, was hosted in 2025 in New Delhi, the national capital of India. With more than a millennium of history, layered architecture, living traditions, and a population of over 20 million, New Delhi provided a fitting setting for the conference.
