Are you available for my event?

Our diary is continuously being updated because we hold both provisional and confirmed booking as well as other musical commitments outside of the Quartet. Because of this, we do not publish it online. To check if your date is free, please contact us using the details in the 'Enquiries' section of the website.

How much do you charge?

Every individual booking has different requirements. Therefore we don't publish fees online and this allows us to give you the best, and most accurate, quote for your event. Please contact us directly using the 'Enquiries' section of the website.

How do I reserve my date?

When you make an initial enquiry, we make a note in our diary of the date and your details as a provisional booking. However, this does not reserve the date for you.

Once your requirements for the Quartet are finalised, we can confirm a fee with you and your will receive a letter or email from us with a booking form and contract confirming the details. Once you have completed, signed and returned the form with the agreed deposit, your date will be confirmed.

How far in advance can I book the Quartet?

We regularly receive booking for wedding and events that are more than a year in advance. This is not a problem for us, but we understand that details, such as time may change a little. Therefore we will ask you to complete a booking form and send a deposit, but we will confirm these details about 6 months before your event.

How do I choose the music?

The Quartet prides itself on being able to select appropriate music for a wide range of event and occasions. When we speak to you we will ask you what style of music you would like played and we will send you a provisional playlist that should meet your needs. We will also send you a full list of our current repertoire from which you can select some favourite pieces. If there is a piece of music that is not on our list that you would like arranging specially, we will be more than happy to organise this for you. However, there may be an extra charge for this service. As long as we have enough notice, it is possible to arrange most music without any problems.

What do I need to tell you about my day?

Once you have decided to book the Quartet, we will send you a booking form which asks for specific details about your event. This is usually all the information that we need. It is a good idea for you to consider where at the venue would be suitable for the Quartet to play and, if you want us to play outside, to make alternative arrangements in case of inclement weather.

Can I hear you play?

On our website there are samples of music available for you to listen to and we are also happy to arrange for you to come and listen to a few pieces at one of our rehearsals. Please contact the Quartet directly should you require this. We also stand at a range of wedding fayres where you can listen to us perform. Notice of any forthcoming events is posted as an announcement on our website.

What do we need to provide for you on the day?

The Quartet will need a space large enough to set up in, which should be about 3m x 4m. Four armless chairs should be made available and we appreciate it if drinking water can be provided. If the location will be dark, or you have requested the use of our PA system, please ensure that there is an electrical socket within 10m. All extensions, lights and other electronic equipment will be provided by us and is covered by a current PAT test (electrical safety check).

It is also very helpful to us if there is a person at the venue who knows about these requirements and can direct us to your chosen location for our performance.

How loud will the music be?

The Quartet will always play at a volume suitable for the environment and occasion to create the perfect ambience. A saxophone quartet can play loudly, which is particularly suitable for outdoor events and large rooms, but also very softly when gentle background music is needed. In the unlikely event that you find the music too loud, then a quick word to one of the players will alert them to adjust accordingly.
