"Alas dear friends there I was with the Defenders of the Vault. We were lowering ourselves down ropes, rappelling down to the lead Mote of the Zephrun Mote Cluster. When one of my more handsome, stronger, and braver companions was attacked by a scourge of the Cluster, Purple Terrors!
Much to the Surprise of my Gruul Minotaur companion, for once in his life he was being charged! In an instant he was knocked out of the ancient door we had been swinging into. I watched him fall, plummeting stoically.
When out of the corner of my eye I saw a grey streak pushing perilously down. There to my surprise was the first I had seen of the Captain's owl. She called it "Sahrasee". The giant owl dove down and was able to return my Minotaur friend to the deck of the Island Seeker.
But what no one knows, until now that is, exactly what I saw as he fell.
I felt grief, and pride in my companion...until I saw him flap his arms like a spring chicken being chased by a giant rat! I am so fortunate that he lived! As that song came into my head at that precise moment .
I fear that if he had perished "flapping his wings" with reckless abandon This song would have died along with him.
So raise you Glass,
and imagine a tight minotaur's ass,
As he gave himself a class,
On learning to fly!"
(at which point Flutist to the fiends, Varen Tiltathana begins to sing "I saw a Minotaur Fly")
