Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. They keep more money in our local economies, they invest more in our communities, and they are more likely to overcome an economic downturn. For too long, we have waited for out-of-state business to come and save our state, but no more. I will work to make West Virginia the best place to start a small business!

How do we do it?

• Shift our tax code to benefit and encourage small business tax growth
• Open business development grants and programs to all, not just manufacturing
• Provide capital to entrepreneurs to start their business
• Provided state support (business advice and planning) to new business owners
• Aggressively expand advertising and marketing for tourism
• Coordinate tourism efforts to highlight small business and our incredible arts community
• Focus on the development of small farms and the hemp industry
