The examples below include a collection of weekly tech tips shared with staff and students in a weekly newsletter, video tutorials for students on creating a podcast with Soundtrap and creating Google Earth projects, and a tutorial for teachers on creating pivot tables in Google Sheets when analyzing student assessment data
The examples below include Google Slides presentations and recordings for various trainings I have presented for teachers and staff in my school district
A beginner to intermediate training offered to middle and high school math and science teachers. Tips and strategies were shared in this brief meeting and teachers were encouraged to explore during "productive choice" time afterward.
A beginner training on using Google Tour Creator presented to middle school teachers during a staff meeting. During this training, teachers were given time and support to create their own tours and feedback was collected at the end.
A beginner training on using Screencastify, with a focus on remote learning strategies and resources
I recorded this video using Screencastify to introduce teachers to our updated website and highlight the professional development resources that were added.
The website updates included a collection of useful resources, organized by type, including Tech Time presentations, PD workshop recordings, tech tips, PowerSchool tutorials, and more. In addition, I created Self-Directed Tech PD modules (see below), so teachers could explore new technologies at their own pace.
In response to teacher feedback, I created a new format for technology-related professional development: Self-Directed Tech PD. The purpose was to allow teachers to dive into learning about a tool of their choice and only focus on the details that were relevant to them, based on the grade level of their students, their subject area, and skill level. I also created a Google Form for teachers to record topics they study and created an automated job with Autocrat that generates a PD certificate for them.
