Demetrios Pagonis and Joost de Gouw with instruments used to measure indoor air in the Dal Ward Athletic Center

Indoor Air

We have worked on PTR-MS measurements in indoor environments during studies in a classroom, the Art Museum and the Dal Ward Athletic Center on the campus of CU Boulder. In the classroom, VOCs were found to come from people, building surfaces and outdoor sources. The Museum study allowed the loss of VOCs to the walls and by chemical reactions to be observed. Analysis of data from the Dal Ward Athletic Center is ongoing.
