The goal of the DCSD Family Support System is to help families overcome financial obstacles to ensure all students feel safe, engaged, and connected in school. To achieve this goal we work in partnership with local organizations and our community to create a network of support. The primary programs we use are Purposity, Opportunity for All, HAV Life, and Home Base. The program works by referring student and family needs to assigned Points of Contact (POC) at each building. The POC works with the family and when necessary utilizes the programming available to meet the student/family needs.
For a brief slide presentation describing the system CLICK HERE.
