You will showcase all your hard work by presenting a poster at the Closing Symposium on July 24, 2025. Here are the requirements:
Title & Abstract- You will need to submit a title and abstract (a brief summary of your project, its aims, and results) for your poster about 2 weeks before the symposium. Your PI must approve this document in writing, so speak to them well in advance of the deadline.
Poster- Talk to your bench mentor and lab mates about how you should structure your poster, what sections to include (background/intro, methods, results, conclusions, future directions, etc.) and poster content. Your poster will be printed through DBBS Summer Research Programs if submitted by the deadline (to be communicated via email). If not, you will be expected to print your poster through other means, such as your lab mentor's recommended printing services.
Presentation- We will host the "Professional Development Workshop: Presentation Skills" in mid-July, which will be geared toward preparing for the Closing Symposium. Your poster should already be in the works, but we will further review the expectations and guidelines before you finalize your poster and print.
