This proposal outlines a concept for a sister app to Spotify—a social and subscription-based platform designed to empower independent artists and deepen user engagement. Drawing on extensive secondary research and original survey data, I identified a growing trend: music lovers crave more personalized music-sharing experiences, while independent artists seek sustainable income streams and closer fan connections. The proposed app bridges this gap by integrating social features with crowdfunding tools, allowing listeners to follow, support, and interact with artists directly within an interconnected ecosystem. My research revealed that a significant portion of Spotify users are eager to share music and would pay for exclusive artist content, reinforcing the market potential of this concept. This project demonstrates my ability to identify emerging industry needs, conduct primary research, and develop innovative solutions grounded in user behavior and market trends.
