Discrimination and Work-Life Lab

Welcome to the DAWL Lab @ WKU

Our lab focuses on workplace discrimination, harassment, and the work-life interface.

Our research examines how people manage their work and non-work lives (e.g., eldercare, childcare, school) with an emphasis on spillover and crossover effects. In addition, we examine discrimination (e.g., gender, minority) and harassment in the workplace, and the implications of these experiences on employee health, well-being, and performance.

Our research keeps in mind the Total Worker Health (TM) perspective, which recognizes that workplace-centered factors and factors beyond the workplace, play a pivotal role in the psychosocial health and well-being of employees.
