DHS Admin (2017)
The RISE Student Board met with the Davis High School admin on December 7, 2017 to introduce their goals to the principal, RISE Coordinator, and a Davis Farm to School representative. They showed the 2016 One Day of Trash video as evidence for the importance of sorting. The RSB also advocated for sorting stations around campus and presented their idea for a new CRV collection program.
In January 2017, the RSB sent a revised version of this presentation with added context to a reporter from the Davis Enterprise. Check out the article below!
UC-Ag and Natural Resources Program (2016)
On September 27, 2016, three RISE members gave a presentation at Pioneer Elementary School to UC-Ag and Natural Resources program members about school recycling in Davis. The three students collaborated with the Davis Farm to School Chair to put together a presentation that included the RISE T-shirts, container sorting system display, and an educational video. They also made themselves available to answer any questions the program members had.
Draft Presentations (2016)
On the left are a few draft recycling presentations that the RISE Student Board created with the intention of visiting schools and presenting the information during an assembly. After the Board decided to film a video instead, they discontinued their work on the slides. Although these presentations were never formally delivered, they can be a good resource when creating your own educational recycling presentations.
