About the Author

I love black coffee, red wine, dark chocolate, and a good dirty vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. These are the reasons I go to the gym!

I met my husband country dancing, and after 22 years of being together, we were finally able to get married, something I never thought would happen.

We love to travel, to experience new things, new cultures, and new people. The world, though small, is still large, and I want to see as much of it as I can. Time speeds by, so whenever possible I don't put off until tomorrow.

I'm very open minded and try not to judge others. I'm open to new things and new adventures, and I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

I’m fascinated by the past, and feel it is our gateway to the future. I believe in compassion, love, and kindness, always.

I feel life should be more like an MGM musical, and I frequently burst into song and sometimes dance, often much to the chagrin of my husband and friends. I believe in happy endings, and strive always to make it so.

Three things very important to me: our environment and habitat, prevention of cruelty to animals, and advancement in medical science.

I rescue earthworms off the sidewalk, catch and release spiders in the house, and always try to be kind to all living creatures.

I'm extremely organized and anti-clutter. I don't put a lot of stock in material possessions, preferring instead to accumulate memories and friendships.

I was bullied as a child, to the point I skipped school, and when I was thirteen I was in a terrible bike accident that almost cost me my left eye. I still have a scar from it. When I was thirty-one I was Gay bashed and ended up in the hospital, and in 2016 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer that had spread to the margins. I had my prostate removed and went through 36 radiation treatments, followed by two years of Hormone therapy. Yet, I still feel very lucky. Lucky that I'm still here, lucky to have a wonderful, supportive husband, lucky to have great friends.
