For this project, I had to choose an emerging technology that is present in our world today and present information on that topic in the form of a PowerPoint slide.
Presentation
The emerging technology I chose to present is Blockchain in Accounting. What fascinated me about this emerging technology is that it allows for the process of transactions to not only be automated but it provides security aspects in place to ensure a safe transaction.
Blockchain is relevant in the finance world some of the real-world examples are cryptocurrencies such as BitCoin and NFTs.
This Emerging Technology will continue to evolve and stay relevant as soon as the idea of Blockchain-based applications comes into existence
Lessons Learned
I learned that many emerging technologies will affect our everyday lives in both the present and future. I believe it's important that we educate ourselves on the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies so we can control how we utilize the technology and not the other way around.
