Project Description
For this project, I collected and credited various types of media from trusted sources.
Image Sample- JPEG
I found this image by searching for "raven" on the Creative Commons website. I downloaded the image from Flickr and then uploaded it to my E-portfolio website. The images are shared under the CC BY-NC 2.0 license which means that anyone can share and adapt the image as long as appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, indicates the changes that were made, and the material cannot be used for commercial purposes.
Below is the official credit to the creator with all the appropriate links.
"Grand Canyon Raven at Hopi Point 0081" by Grand Canyon National Park is licensed under CC BY-NC 2.0.
Animation- GIF
Below is a GIF I found off of the website GIPHY that displays the Baltimore Ravens mascot, POE returning from an injury he sustained earlier in the season.
A GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format and it is of bitmap image format.
The GIF is titled, Baltimore Ravens Football GIF and its author is the NFL. In regards to licensing information, the only rule that GIPHY has is that the media should not be used under any circumstances for commercial use.
Audio Sample- MP3
Below is a sample audio file called Ravens that I selected coincides with the theme of my media page which is a Raven. I downloaded this audio file which is a waveform audio file and then uploaded it to my Google Drive so I could embed it on the website.
This piece of media has been shared under the CC BY 4.0 license.
Below is the official credit to the creator with all the appropriate links.
"Ravens" by LolitaPerdurabo is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Video Sample- Youtube
The video below is an embedded video that displayed a touchdown score by Raven's quarterback Lamar Jackson in their 34-10 victory against the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs.
I embedded the video from YouTube and it has fair use licensing meaning that the videos can be transferred but there must not be any commercial activity.
Lessons Learned
I learned how to appropriately credit different types of media which is important especially when sharing and using them. This project taught me to have a level of respect for media as they are produced by people similar to me.
