SFU Engineering Competition 2022

Overview

Awarded 1st place in the Senior Design category of the 2022 SFU Engineering Competition for designing a smart walker for assisting the elderly in their daily activities. A detailed CAD (Onshape) model and a motorized scale prototype was created. The presentation included the importance of improving on the traditional walker concept, descriptions of the walker's features, a cost analysis, and a demonstration of the prototype. Receiving 1st place in the SFU Engineering Competition qualified the team of four to compete in the Western Engineering Competition in 2023.
