Overview
Overview
Designed an optimized CPU heatsink for an engineering thermodynamics and heat transfer course. The goal was to design the optimal heatsink given specific constraints such as maximum heat generated by the processor and maximum size. Different configurations such as the shape of the fins (cylindrical, recangular, etc), spacing between the fins, and length of the fins were considered. SolidWorks and its Thermal Analysis simulation tools were used to complete this project.
