Presentation
Reflection
I believe that my presentation does a very good job at encapsulating the intentions and beliefs of TPC. The main intention of TPC is to communicate information clearly and effectively. In around 10 minutes, I am able to present 3 different topics of Animals Rights to my audience that contain an abundance of information. I also avoided using any jargon and used dialog that even a middle scholar can easily understand. I strategically put images of my own and from the web to appeal to the emotions of my audience. These tactics helped me encapsulate TPC. I feel like many things went well for me for this project. I planned out my annotated bibliography to include not only the problems I’m discussing but the solutions to those problems. This made life so much easier for me because I didn't have to do any research after completing my annotated bibliography. My interview also helped me tremendously. Angel from Watermelon Mountain Ranch had an answer for every question I had and then some. I didn’t struggle at all with the amount of information in my presentation but I struggled with what information I should include. The only thing I could have done differently is to shorten the amount of words in my presentation. I could have used bullet points instead to make it easier on the eyes but I decided to include an explanation for my points in my presentation so that my audience can read the slides while I am presenting. I made a couple of audience considerations when deciding how to present. The main one was keeping in mind the amount of people in my audience. Since I’m only presenting to six people, I decided to print a handout of some of the forms I received from Watermelon Mountain Ranch that includes information on how to get involved. I figured that this would be a good way to really reach out to my class as they will have access to all the steps to get involved when they leave the classroom. Overall, my preparations with the previous MWAs helped me out a lot for this final project and I am excited to present my work to the class.
