Skegidorm Weekender

28th November - 1st December 2025 - Dance Card Events seamlessly put together a weekend of social dancing, classes, and events, complete with a hotel stay. We took care of all bookings, hospitality, promotion, marketing, and the full itinerary. The weekend event received rave reviews from attendees.

An Evening of Dance with DJ Ed Petro - December 2024

Ed Petro joined us on Sunday 1st September 2024 for a magical evening of dance, which included smooth Modern Jive (also suited to Silc), Alternative Tango, Expressive Blues, and funky West Coast Swing. The afternoon began with a Jive and Tango fusion class from 3pm - before social dancing from 4pm.

Ed’s love of dance began in the early 1980s in Seattle, where he learned partner dancing in a Country & Western club before moving into Salsa and Latin styles.

In the 1990s, he discovered line dancing in Oklahoma, then returned to Seattle and fell in love with Argentine Tango at Sonny’s Tango Studio. At the same time, he trained for three years with the Seattle West Coast Swing Academy. During this period, Ed and friends developed a fusion of Tango and WCS known as SWANGO.

After moving to the UK, Ed embraced Modern Jive while continuing his passion for Tango, including an extended stay in Buenos Aires to study with local masters.

Ed now DJs and teaches Argentine Tango and Fusion as a lifetime staff member of Revolution Dance, has guested at events including PaP in Scotland, and founded both an Argentine Tango community in Skipton and the SWANGO Club at the Engine Shed.
