I'm an Instructional Designer with an interest in turning complex ideas into engaging and interactive experiences. My mission is to make learning not only effective, but also fun!
As an instructional designer and eLearning developer, I leverage adult learning principles to craft engaging and effective educational experiences that foster behavioral change and bridge performance gaps. By employing tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite, I collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design customized learning solutions that address an organization's professional development requirements.
My adventure in instructional design started with a curious mind and a love for storytelling. With a degree in Special Education from University of Maine, Farmington, and a certification in Instructional Design from Applied Instructional Design Academy, I've honed my skills in crafting educational content that captivates, educates, and is inclusive.
A highlight I am proud of: I created a documentary film using Adobe Premier Pro (and was a newby user at the time) and was selected as an Honorable Mention in the Maine International Film Festival in 2021 in the category: Narrative Short Stories.
When I'm not designing learning experiences, you might find me cycling the back roads of New Gloucester, Maine, or solo bicycle touring. Going to the beach, documentary film, and hanging with close friends are important to me.
