#TinkerTuesday

Experience is the father of all learning. This well-known truth about how humans acquire knowledge can be traced all the way back to ancient Greece, through the writings of Plato and Aristotle. Breaking kids out of passivity and complacency in learning and into a place of experience, action and wonder was at the heart of #TinkerTuesday. This was a lunch-time makers club that pushed kids to design, build and test cutting edge project in a low-stakes, experiential environment. Projects ranged from robot mini golf, to go-karts, to potato cannons to insect neurology.

What we cannot deny is the relentless passion students demonstrate when the appropriate conditions and environment for learning are given to them. When they are setting their own goals, planning their own projects and getting their hands dirty in the act of building cool projects, they will always surprise us with what they can accomplish.
