Academies

South Lakes students have the opportunity to take classes at two different FCPS academies, Chantilly and Fairfax. However, students should talk to their counselor about the impact academy courses may have on their schedules. Often, taking an academy class requires at least one travel period and many academy courses are two credit classes so it can fill three to four class periods for that two credit academy course.

Academies allow students to follow interests or career paths that aren't available at South Lakes. For information about the offerings at the academies please see below:
