The CCCA committee have agreed to support the staff at Parc Penallta by collating any reports of damage, litter or other issues that residents find when they are using the access path from Buzzard Way into the main park.
We will collate these notifications and send them on so that the rangers can take prompt action. We are also going to meet to discuss access to the park with the rangers on a regular basis
The attached form is being used to collate any issues that are discovered on the footpath leading up to Parc Penallta and will be forwarded on to the ranger staff for action. The community association will then follow up by meeting with the rangers to ensure the best service possible is maintained.

The first meeting with the Head Ranger took place on site of the path leading up to the main park in early May.
The entrance is a tunnel under Penallta Road close to the original play park. Whilst this does give a safe access to the park it is steep in places and in need of further work to make it easier to use.
There are issues with litter, dog waste and falling branches and leaves which make the path difficult to use in wet weather. The head ranger agreed to have a clean up around the area and would investigate the cost of a survery on methods to improve the drainage and to make the path safer and more accessible.
The possibility of volunteers working with the rangers to help the improvements was discussed and we agreed to see if there was a willingness in the community to take a more active role.
