Enhancement Tags are a way to improve a MARC record to improve accuracy and ability to search for the item. The more details that can be included or tagged will improve usability.
Most materials purchased for this collection will be cataloged with copy cataloging procedures from existing records from OCLC
AACR2 should be used for bibliographic records
Subject heading should be used from Sears Subject Heading list and then from the Library of Congress list
All cataloging should be done by the Library Media Specialist
Items that arrive with a MARC record should be verified by library staff prior to shelving to ensure accuracy
If the record is inaccurate or not found, library staff is to check for information on WorldCat or on INFOhio's records.
If there is no record to be found, Library Media Specialist needs to create an original record using MARC
