AI Club explores the exciting world of AI and all of its uses in the real-world We discuss the benefits of AI in fields like healthcare, education, robotics, and creative arts, while also learning how to build our own AI projects. Members are able to gain skills in problem-solving and critical thinking while also exploring the uses of AI in school as well as making sure to use it responsibly. Our clubs goal is to inspire curiosity, prepare for future careers, and show how AI can make a positive impact on the world. We want to help people see the good and bad things about AI as it gets more and more relevant around the world.
CVHS ASLHS (American Sign Language Honor Society) members are dedicated leaders within the CVHS ASL program. As an ASLHS Member, you will enjoy participation in the active promotion and engagement within the ASL community, partake in events that foster awareness of Deaf Culture, and represent both ASLHS and CVHS with integrity and respect. The Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) is a club dedicated to promoting financial literacy and sharing about finance careers to the CVHS student body via investing competitions (that you can participate in with little to no experience!), mini lectures reviewed by professionals (with simulations and fun discussions!), volunteer income tax preparation, and fun events (including panels and seminars with a local credit union).
Castro Valley Geography and History Club is for anyone interested in maps, the past, the countries, and cities of our diverse world. Our Mission is to learn more about the world and then pass this knowledge on to the younger generation. CV Geo Hist Club will meet weekly, teaching members more about world history and geography through new country presentations, trivia, and competitions. We will have various items and foods from around the world at meetings throughout the year.
The Medical Students' Association (MSA) offers students a dynamic platform to explore diverse careers in the medical field. Through guest speakers, MSA brings in healthcare professionals to share their firsthand experiences and insights from working in medicine. Meetings also feature presentations on medical school preparation, innovative medical technologies, diseases, emerging scientific developments, and volunteer opportunities which provide members with valuable knowledge and resources for their future in healthcare. MSA is a great way to learn more about medicine and get inspired for your future!
Mock trial club aims to support students and future lawyers by providing them an experience similar to actual courtrooms. Every month, we will simulate a court trial from either fictional or real-life cases so members of all experience levels can practice their public speaking, reasoning, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. The club sessions in between every court trial will be used to introduce new topics students can use in their mock trials and to give them time to prepare for the next case. If you want to go into the field of law or just want to improve your public speaking skills, then join Mock Trial Club!
Model United Nations (MUN) club aims to help students understand global issues, diplomacy, and international relations. Through weekly meetings, we simulate UN committees where members debate real world topics, develop public speaking and negotiation skills, and coupborate on finding solutions.
At Ocean Life, students will combine their knowledge and passion to tackle real environmental issues. Our club’s mission is to inspire students to lead purposeful lives dedicated to preserving and enhancing our planet’s ecosystems. Students will achieve this by participating in fish identification activities, participating in beach cleanups, learning about coral restoration, exploring photogrammetry (used to create 3D models of objects), and understanding how AI monitors marine species behaviors.

Psychology Club is a place for like-minded individuals with an interest in learning more about the world of psychology. Members can do so through hands-on activities, guest speakers, and club discussions. Come by Room 102 during lunch on Tuesday to learn more and explore!
CVHS Society of Women Engineers (SWE), connected to the international organization, supports girls pursuing engineering and technology. We gain hands-on building and coding experience through design challenges, meet college students in diverse fields of engineering, and volunteer at events for younger students. Last year, we coded an AI-based app for waste sorting, winning first place for design at the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo SWE Design Challenge. Additionally, our inaugural Engineering Day (co-hosted with Robotics Club) helped over 70 middle schoolers explore computer-aided design, engineering tools, and environmental engineering. ALL students can join, regardless of gender or membership in the Engineering Pathway.
STEAM for Youth is a student-led initiative of students who are passionate about helping our community and getting younger students interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). We want to help young students explore their ideas in these subjects by doing fun, hands-on activities and lessons together.

Study Club enables everyone to a safe space to do assignments and encourages responsibility, accountability, and peer connections. Take the Mic is a podcast and interview club. We film content for many events and activities on campus, such as athletics and performing arts, and other fun ideas that are trending at the time.
Broadcast is our school’s hub for creative live streaming and digital storytelling! We bring events, performances, interviews, and community moments directly to viewers in real time, using professional streaming tools and a collaborative team approach. Members learn everything from camera operation and sound mixing to on-air hosting and behind-the-scenes production. Whether you’re passionate about technology, journalism, or entertaining an audience, Broadcast gives you a platform to share stories, connect with people, and sharpen your media skills—live.
Future Society of Innovation provides students unique opportunities to discuss and learn about the future of humanity. Members will brainstorm creative and futuristic technologies, such as Dyson swarms and FTL travel, explore solutions to global issues, including sustainable energy and nano-medicine, and tackle challenges with ultramodern objectives like designing a city on Mars or inventing a way to translate thoughts into text. Through creativity and collaboration, members will push the limits of imagination and design prototypes that could shape future society.
