Our trails are shared by a wide range of users, including hikers, runners, cyclists, ATVs, snowmobiles, and more. To keep the trails safe and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all users to follow a few simple guidelines:
Be courteous to others and yield appropriately:
Motorized vehicles yield to non-motorized users. When meeting, stop and allow cyclists and hikers to walk by. If overtaking, let them know you are there. They should stop and move reasonably off the trail, allowing motorized vehicles to get by.
Cyclists yield to hikers and walkers.
Everyone yields to horses. Stop and let the horses pass. If overtaking, give the rider time to get to one side or stop.
Keep to the right; pass on the left, and give a friendly heads-up when passing.
Keep speed reasonable and greatly reduce speed when forward visibility is low.
