Cumberland Trails Association supports the development, maintenance, and promotion of trails across Northern Nova Scotia. Our goal is to create trails that connect communities and encourage active outdoor living.
Our current focus is on developing a fourth Destination Trail in Northern Nova Scotia. This route will follow a former rail line from Pictou to Oxford and link coastal communities including River John, Tatamagouche, Wallace, and Pugwash. Though cycle friendly now; once complete, it will be a continuous, shared-use trail open to a variety of users – walkers, cyclists, ATVs, snowmobiles, and more.
