Food: Pack 991 will provide dinner, dessert, and breakfast. Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate for kosher/halal and allergies. Bring a water bottle and coffee cup, as we try to minimize single use items and reinforce that Scouts Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! Please bring your mess kit and flatware!! Pack 991 is working on reducing the amount of waste from Pack campouts.
Campfire Program: Come ready to entertain with your best skits, jokes, stories, and songs (while making delicious s'mores and cobblers). We also intend to conduct a flag retirement ceremony, which is a unique opportunity for Scouts to show respect for the American flag and how to properly dispose of one when it is worn and faded.
Tents and Equipment: The Pack has several like-new and gently used tents, sleeping bags, and related camping equipment available for use. Please let us know if you need to borrow anything so we can make sure everyone is squared away (yes, they get cleaned after use), but please bring your own equipment if you have it.
Rain and Weather: Scouts camp in the rain. The Pack has several canopy tents (i.e., Ez-Ups) and tarps, so "Be Prepared" and bring your rain ponchos. If there is a threat of severe weather, we will make a judgement call at that time, but normal rain does not stop us.
Family Participation: We are asking all Families to get involved in one activity. The Pack leadership really enjoys putting these together but could always use some help. Please let us know of your preferences on which role you would prefer when you register.
