This section serves as a proof point of my adaptability and versatility, showcasing my ability to leverage diverse technologies to solve unique instructional design challenges and extend the functionality of the LMS. These projects demonstrate a strong capacity for resourcefulness and integrating specialized tools where standard applications fall short. The projects below highlight expertise in:
LMS Integration and Customization: Using tools like Google Slides to create embeddable, accessible knowledge checks within Canvas.
Specialized Assessment: Deploying advanced assessment tools like Qualtrics for complex data capture (e.g., implicit bias testing).
Code-Level Functionality: Developing JavaScript activities for highly customized, unique interactive elements that require technical problem-solving.
Resourceful Problem-Solving: Identifying and mastering the optimal tool for a specific pedagogical objective, regardless of vendor.
Tool: Google Slides
Developed: Spring 2024
Developed for FOUN 722: Introduction to Applied Statistics and Data Analysis at Old Dominion University. Several slide decks were created to simulate knowledge checks embedded in a Canvas page.

This Implicit Association Test was developed for Faculty Innovator Grant (FIG) winners from Old Dominion University's Dental Hygiene program to assess bias among students within the program regarding LGBTQ+ individuals. An individual taking the assessment is scored on whether they got the answer correct or incorrect, and how quickly they responded to the prompt. The faculty members hope to eventually take this work to conferences and in the field to help individuals, such as dental hygienists, identify their personal biases.
As part of course production, I assist faculty in building course materials, including JavaScript activities.
