Church Twinning International, Inc. (CTI) is an ecumenical, international, interfaith, and intercultural outreach ministry operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founded in 1981 by Professor Andrew Crakye Denteh (deceased) and the Rev. Dr. Sidney R. Holston (deceased), alongside his wife, Mrs. Isabelle Daniels Holston (deceased), this work was born out of a shared vision between faith leaders in Georgia (USA) and Ghana (West Africa).
From the beginning, CTI has focused on “twinning” congregations—bringing churches together across nations to build relationships, share experiences, and walk alongside one another in faith. These partnerships have encouraged communication, cultural exchange, and mutual support, strengthening both spiritual life and community impact. Each relationship reflects the call in Acts 16:9, “…come over and help us,” lived out through shared responsibility and connection.
As these relationships deepened over time, CTI grew beyond individual partnerships into a wider network of churches and communities learning from one another and serving together.
A longstanding partnership with the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC-Atlanta, GA) has also created opportunities for seminarians to engage in this work, helping to shape leaders who understand ministry not only locally, but globally.
CTI’s presence has taken root through its member organizations—CTI-USA, CTI-Ghana, and CTI-Liberia—each supporting churches within their local context while remaining connected to a shared global vision.
In August 2024, Church Twinning International Global Ministries, Inc. was formalized as a natural step forward in this ongoing work. This was not a departure, but a continuation—strengthening CTI’s ability to connect churches, faith-based organizations, and institutions in ways that reflect how the body of Christ already lives and grows across cultures.
In a world that often feels divided, CTI continues to emphasize unity in diversity. Through relationships, shared learning, and collaboration, this work seeks to reflect the love of Christ while supporting communities in ways that are both meaningful and enduring.
CTI connects churches and faith-based organizations across nations through structured, relational partnerships that foster leadership development, cultural exchange, and collaborative ministry.
