Studying the Impact of Quality Assurance

Purpose of SQuAIR

The CSU Student Quality Assurance Impact Research (SQuAIR) project strives to determine the impact of Online Course Services (OCS) and/or campus professional development training on teaching performance and student success in CSU online courses.

Hypothesis

It is hypothesized that instructors who complete Online Course Services (OCS) professional development and/or campus professional development training are better able to design and deliver online courses, more effectively engaging students, resulting in successful completion which aligns with the CSU Graduation Initiative. Additional benefits to students include higher student satisfaction, increased use of innovative technology, improved quality interactive experiences, improved accessibility of online course content, improved diversity practices, and a reduction in equity gaps.
