Their mission... ensuring the success of women faculty, staff, and students of Clayton State University.
The Women's Forum was established in 2002 by a dedicated group of female faculty and staff members with the primary goal of providing scholarship support to women students at Clayton State University. As the organization grew, it quickly expanded its mission to include programs, mentoring opportunities, and advocacy initiatives designed to enhance the professional, educational, and cultural experiences of women across the University community.
Through workshops, discussions, and special events, the Women's Forum addressed topics such as career development, leadership, mentoring, personal empowerment, and defining success as a female professional. These programs fostered meaningful connections among students, faculty, and staff while promoting the advancement of women both on campus and beyond.
In addition to its core mission, the Women's Forum actively participated in campus-wide events and initiatives that celebrated and supported women. Members regularly contributed to programming organized by Clayton State University's annual Women's History Month Committee and other awareness and advocacy efforts. The organization also participated in the Faculty Fall Frolic Homecoming Talent Show, using the event as an opportunity to raise additional scholarship funds through the sale of performance recordings. Through its scholarship, mentorship, and outreach activities, the Women's Forum played a significant role in strengthening opportunities for women and enriching the University's campus culture.

Women's Forum Scholarship Fundraiser and Annual Luncheon Events
Two signature events hosted by the organization were the annual Chili Cook-Off and Quilt Raffle Scholarship Fundraiser and the Women's Forum Luncheon. The Chili Cook-Off quickly became one of the Women's Forum's most anticipated traditions and remains the organization's primary fundraising event, generating scholarship support for female students each year. Beyond its fundraising efforts, the Women's Forum played a leading role in campus programs, special events, and guest lectures that celebrated and promoted the achievements, experiences, and contributions of women. The organization was especially active during Women's History Month, helping to coordinate educational and cultural programming that fostered dialogue, awareness, and engagement across the University community.

Distinguished speakers of the annual Women's Forum Luncheon have included notables such as Civil Rights Activist Evely Lowery, former GA State Representative Gail Buckner, television news reporter Jovita Moore, authors Ronda Rich, and Paulette Mallory, just to name a few. In recent years, the Women's Forum transitioned the annual Luncheon programming into the Clayton State Women In Leadership Series. This series provides discussion sessions geared towards female faculty, staff, and students to promote, encourage, and support female leadership.
