Evidence of animals eating
Five Stations (Transects across the Canyon) (each station for 20 mins?)
Vegetation Distribution
iNaturalist
Pick a species (slide 8)
Take pictures of each one you find in our iNaturalist group
Temperature
comparison-gradients - transect (aspect, coverage),(air vs surface) (Norm, Li)
Air Temp take 2 minutes - 1m height - shade the probe
surface - use gun every
IR photography - take photos of the transect and other interesting locations.
Soil measurements (Matthew)
Soil hardness/compactness comparison (nail test) how many hits to put the nail in
Depth to moisture level 4 (aka dry - using soil moisture probe) - how deep when the moisture sensor changes
Also record ph and temp
CO2 measurements using PocketLab (does it vary as we get close to vegetation)
