For this project, I collected a variety of digital media types and learned how to ethically share them.

This is a photograph I took while traveling in Lake Tahoe, California. I used GIMP to add the location of the picture- "Lake Tahoe". Then, I exported the image as a JPG before adding it to this website. I'm sharing this image under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License.
This is an example of an animated gif I found on Flickr.com. It is shared under CC BY 2.0.
"Porto Alegre" by Pedro Belleza is licensed under CC BY 2.0.
This is an audio sample from my favorite dance performance, The Nutcracker. I downloaded this file as an mp3, then uploaded it onto Google Drive so I could embed it on this website. This has been shared under CC BY-NC-ND 3.0, meaning you are free to:
Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Under the following terms:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

"Overture" by Artur Rodzinski is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 3.0
This is an example of an embedded video file. According to TedTalks, "TED's videos may be used for non-commercial purposes under a Creative Commons License, Attribution–Non Commercial–No Derivatives (or the CC BY – NC – ND 4.0 International)".
From this assignment, I learned how to ethically source different types of media. I was introduced to Creative Commons, where you can get licensing information in order to ethically share someone else's (or your own) creative work. Additionally, I learned how to use Gimp, which is a photo editing software. Overall, I learned valuable knowledge so that I can ethically share media.
