Welcome to my ePortfolio for CSIT 101! Here you will find the work I created over the course of this class, but first let's introduce myself!
Hello! My name is Ella. I'm currently a student at CCBC in Baltimore. Below, you'll find some fun facts about myself and my future goals!
Why are you taking this course?
Although this is a prerequisite for the Veterinary Technology Program, I'm taking CSIT 101 in hopes to improve my skills and knowledge of computers! Throughout this course, I hope to develop skills that I can use in my future career.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to be accepted to the Veterinary Technology Program, so I can become an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician). My passion in life has always been animals, so I hope to dedicate my life to them.
What is a fun fact about you?
Instead of learning how to play an instrument as a child, I decided to take whistling lessons!
Dala is named after a province in Sweden called Dalarna. In Dalarna, they make something called a Swedish Dala horse. It's a traditional wooden figurine with bright colors and intricate designs. You may have seen them in IKEA! My grandfather is from Sweden and was a big animal lover, so I thought I would give her a name to remind me of him.
We made it to the end of the class! I was very pleased with this class, and I learned a great amount of information that I will use in my future career and in my daily life! I became much more proficient with excel, which is something I greatly struggled with before this class. Additionally, I love that we were able to create this website! In the future, I plan to own an animal rescue, so I'll definitely be putting these website skills to the test!
