For this project, I was tasked with finding multiple examples of threats to Cybersecurity in that has been reported in media and examining the validity of these examples. I also completed a Cybersecurity training course.
Through this project, I learned that Cybersecurity issues effect all types of people, not just individuals who work with computers, Everyone who does any type of shopping, either online or in stores, is at risk. I also learned to look closer and with a critical eye to determine the validity of any content posted online.

This article details a scam that took place on Reposmaxcomp, a fake auction site for cars and boats. After paying thousands of dollars to the site, multiple costumers received no response and were left without their auction item. This spoofing scam works because they use the excuse that it's a repossession and they have to satisfy the lien. To avoid scams like this, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Never send your personal information or bank information online without verifying the source first.
