This article shares that skimming devices have been discovered in two store locations, Baltimore and Dundalk. Skimming refers to devices placed on that are capable of collecting data from credit/debit cards planted in checkout lanes. While there is no evidence that any costumer data was collected, the increase in self check-out lanes has made curbing this issue challenging. 

This article details a scam that took place on Reposmaxcomp, a fake auction site for cars and boats. After paying thousands of dollars to the site, multiple costumers received no response and were left without their auction item. This spoofing scam works because they use the excuse that it's a repossession and they have to satisfy the lien. To avoid scams like this, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Never send your personal information or bank information online without verifying the source first.
