This project is about learning how people use technology around the world. I wanted to understand the difference in technology use between countries. I chose to research the digital divide in the United Kingdom. I looked at how people in the United Kingdom use technology. I tried to find out who has access to technology and who does not. Some people in the United Kingdom struggle with using technology because they do not have the skills. I made a Word document and a PowerPoint to share what I found out about technology use, in the United Kingdom.
United Kingdom (UK)
I chose the UK because it is a well-developed country and it is ahead in technology as well. Even with all the technology in the United Kingdom there are still people who have trouble with digital things. The digital divide, in the United Kingdom is something that I wanted to learn more about in the United Kingdom.
One interesting fact I learned is that 7.9 million people in the UK still lack basic digital skills, even though most households have internet. This shows that having internet doesn’t always mean people know how to use it well.

PowerPoint
From this project I found out that not everyone has the access, to technology even in countries that appear to be really advanced.I learned how to put information using Word. I also learned how to make a presentation using the SmartArt . Working by myself on a project that was supposed to be done in a group was a challenge. This project taught me how to manage my time and break down tasks into smaller tasks. The digital skills project was really helpful. The digital skills project helped me understand why digital skills are important and why the digital divide is a deal. The digital divide is something that really matters.
