Unit 1

ORIENTATION & INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION SYSTEMS 

Overview

Unit 1 is all about Digital Literacy and Foundations. This means we learn the skills and ideas we need to understand and use technology. We learn how computers and digital tools work. This includes things like hardware and software and networks. We also learn about the internet and cloud services.

We learn about footprints and online safety in Unit 1. This helps us understand how what we do online can affect us for a time. Unit 1 teaches us terms and concepts that we will use throughout the course. This helps us think clearly and work well with technology.

The goal of Unit 1 is to give students a foundation in Digital Literacy and Foundations. This way we can learn advanced skills in later units. By the end of Unit 1 we know how to use technology in responsible ways. We are better at navigating the world. Unit 1 is really, about Digital Literacy and Foundations. It helps us a lot.
