For this animation I created a cool goldberg machine. I wanted to make something a little more interesting than a basic machine, something with more flare and entertainment value. I wanted to start with a strong musical beat so I went with Daft Punk's Around The World. The animation starts with me asking Alexa to turn off the lights and activate party mode. At which point the echo starts the light show and goldberg machine by releasing a ball which falls off the table and hits the first domino on the floor. This causes a chain reaction in the domino's that progressively get bigger until the tallest one knocks into a ball. That ball rolls off a large ramp onto a seesaw which tips a perfectly balanced glass pyramid over, causing another chain reaction of dominos. The last domino in the chain hits a cannon which causes the cannon to fire, launching a ball at the light switch flicking it off. Then the video transitions to the music video for Around The World. This project was a lot of fun but frustrating as Maya still sucks. All my references models are below:
