Frequently Asked Questions

1. My student never plans to stay for after school. Why do I need to register my student for After School?

   • All after school programs, including academic support and special ensemble events will still be supported by the MY team. Part 1 of the registration process (Discover DYCD) covers all the permissions for those situations. Additionally, all CSA students are welcome at after school special events-- please make sure you register your student!

2. When will I register for the classes that MY are offering for the fall?

   • Fall programming information will be emailed in September to families that have already completed Discover DYCD registration. 

3. What time does after school care end?

   • Academic Support will end no later than 5:00 pm. Manhattan Youth Programming ends at 5:45. Earlier pick up times are available, and can be directly coordinated by contacting the CSA site phone (646-823-3949), the Manhattan Youth Site Director. 

4. My child's after school plans for today are different  What should I do? 

   • Please utilize the After School Attendance form, found here before 1:00 PM. If after 1:00 pm for the affected day, please email afterschool@cityschoolofthearts.org

5. Will my student have access to their cell phone during this time?

   • Manhattan Youth and CSA will follow the same policies regarding cell phones, meaning that students will not have access to their phones during this time. If needed, parents can communicate directly with the MY site phone.
