Once the library system started to offer programs in-person again, I experimented with two different programs outdoors. Both went well and were engaging for patrons who were so excited to return in person.
We then expanded that to start offering our craft-it program back in person as well. Many of my repeat patrons were so happy to see each other again. I also participated in the program series, "Renew in the New Year" which featured a recycling program that I planned for all 8 branches. Here are some of the programs I planned both indoor and outdoor
While the library was closed due to COVID-19 and after re-opening without in person programs, library staff worked together to create a programming experience virtually, as well as take home crafts and activities. This encouraged the community to still feel connected and many commented that this helped them through the worst of the pandemic. Here are a few of the programs that I led and planned.
We have musical performance most months out of the year. While in the Arts and Literature quartile, I found many new local musicians to volunteer and play at the library as well as coordinated events with other librarians to arrange for musical performances. These are some of the groups I have hosted.
Here are some photos and flyers from the various Meet the Artist, Dance in the Library, and other Humanities programs I have planned and hosted over the years.
I have also led many programs that were planned by other quartiles in the system. For the Personal Development quartile, I led the Escape Room. The escape room maps were available online through breakout edu, and I designed the layout of the room (which I feel was helped my extensive patronage of escape rooms!). A fun time was had by all!
