July 5 (travel day: 8 hours)
Depart Amarillo (7:30 am) -> Upper Narrows Campground
Directions: Drive 10 miles north of Fort Collins on Highway 287. Turn left (west) onto Hwy 14 and proceed 20 miles to the campground.
Arrive (4:00 pm) Cache la Poudre (elevation: 6,400 feet; average low 46; average high 78)

July 6 (travel day: 9 hours)
Depart (8:00 am): Upper Narrows Campground
Arrive: RIVERSIDE (ID - TARGHEE) Caribou-Targhee National Forest (9 hours)
elevation: 6,200 ft; high temp: 81, low temp: 42

July 7 (travel day: ~6 hours)
Depart: (8:00am) :Riverside Campground, ID
Arrive: (~3:00pm) Benchmark Trail Head - Augusta,MT (5 Hours 45 minutes)
Directions: From Augusta, go west on Forest Road 235 about 30 miles
Elevation: 5,311 ft; High Temp: 80, Low Temp: 49
Hike --> Backpacking in the Bob Marshall Complex, Benchmark Trail Head: Start our backpacking adventure with hiking about 8 miles to set up camp.
If we hit the trail by 4:00pm with 8 miles to go (4 Hours of hiking) we should arrive to set up camp by 8:00pm.
July 8 (Backpacking in the Bob)
Location: The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex
Wake up: 9:00am??
Hike --> Backpacking in the Bob: Hike about another 8 miles and set up camp. (4 Hours of hiking + 1 hour lunch = ~5 hour day)
With only about 4 hours of hiking we can be flexible with our time. Hike early and set up camp to hang out for the rest of the day or take our time to leave camp???

July 9 (Backpacking in the Bob)
Location: The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex
***Day hike only, we will keep the same camp. ***
Hiking Options: Day Packs only
If you are tired you can stay at camp (Have a down day)
You can hike about ~ 12 miles round trip to Moose Creek Junction
You can hike about ~21 miles round trip to the Chinese Wall up to the Larch Hill pass junction (Could possible have lunch near larch hill pass if we left early enough) ( At approx. 2 miles per hour pace this would be about 10 hours of hiking + 1 hour lunch + extra stops = ~ 12 hour day - If we start hiking around 7:00am we would return around 7:00pm with at least 2 hours of daylight left or more) As of today (05/27/2020) Sunrise in Augusta, MT is 5:39 am and Sunset is at 9:14pm - So they have nice long days even in May
Activity: Find a nice cool body of water and soak your feet! :-P
July 10 (Backpacking in the Bob)

Hike --> Backpacking in the Bob: Hike about 8 miles back to our previous camp and set up. (4 Hours of hiking + 1 hour lunch = ~5 hour day)

July 11: aka GRANT DZURENKO'S 17TH BIRTHDAY!!! (Backpacking in the Bob/Travel Day: ~3.5hours)

Leave Camp: 8 am
Hike --> Last Day Backpacking in the Bob Marshall Complex with hiking about 8 miles back to the Benchmark Trail Head.
If we hit the trail by 8:00 am with 8 miles to go (4 Hours of hiking) we should arrive at Benchmark by 12:00 pm for lunch.
Depart: 2 pm: Benchmark Trail Head - Emery Bay Campground, MT
Groceries: Glacier Family Foods in Browning, MT
Arrive: 7 pm: Dispersed Camping site near Emery Bay Campground, MT (Approx. 4-hour drive)

Museum Business Hours
During the summer months of June through mid-August, the museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 1 – 5 pm each day and until about 9 pm on show nights. During the school year the museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, 1 – 5 pm and late on winter performance nights.
