Cult of Pedagogy:
For the Teacher Who Craves Inspiration
Where to Find It
You can find Cult of Pedagogy content--everything from blog posts to podcast episodes--online for free.
Why to Find It
The website itself, which was founded and is still largely written by former language arts teacher Jennifer Gonzalez, is full of teacher resources and activities. Gonzalez uses the site as a space to provide many helpful assignments, rubrics, and worksheets for teachers to take advantage of. However, the real reason I am listing this resource is largely because it also features raw, well-written, and inspirational posts that teachers can draw from when they're feeling overwhelmed or discouraged. Gonzalez covers everything from imposter syndrome to being kind to yourself in and out of the classroom. She knows the fears, worries, and hearts of educators who are filled with passion, but who sometimes need a boost or a shout of solidarity into the digital void. In short, Cult of Pedagogy features must-reads for teachers who need a pick-me-up. And hey, we all do sometimes.
