The Skippy's is a creative competition where creative agency partners each produce a TrueView ad based on an identical brief. This year we partnered with Movember to deliver an amazing brief with purpose.
Rather than being judged by a panel of industry experts, The Skippy's winner is selected purely based on the performance of the work on YouTube. All entries were put to market with an equally targeted and weighted YouTube media plan and work was measured against view through rate, average watch time and organic view count. The creative that grabbed and retained people's attention the best was crowned the winner.
This years winner was announced at the annual YouTube Brandcast event and the winning entry was The Monkeys. The creative received an impressive 34% view through rate when served as an ad and an average watch time of 1 minute 52 seconds.
Congratulations to all agencies as the average view though rate for all the work was 30% and the average watch time was 1 minute 54 seconds.
